Saw one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a long time. I saw a dad take up his cross today. Saw it with my own eyes. it was there right before me. I went to Sunday school and the teacher has a son who has a game today in Atlanta. His dad, drove back to teach class and missed his game. He showed his son that God is worth more than a baseball game. That God is our highest priority. Oh don’t get me wrong, he has missed class before spending time with his son. The difference was today, the lesson was his and it was his turn to teach. If you’re a teacher or leader, your standard should be higher. If we show our kids other things are more worthy than our commitment to God, they most likely will too. I’ve heard of stories where people take stands like this and years later someone says, “ I saw you choose God over what you wanted and it stuck with me, it really impacted my life and I became a Christian because of that. My old class canceled today. My new class went hard and strong. Today was a great small group discussion and two in my small group were baptized. Todays lesson was awesome in church. I’m excited to see what happens next.
